Overview
Harold's Chicken at 4330 16th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404, brings a straightforward chicken-focused dining option to this part of the city. The name immediately establishes what diners can expect: a casual restaurant centered on chicken rather than an overly broad concept. For anyone browsing Cedar Rapids locations and trying to narrow down a place for an uncomplicated meal, that clear identity makes Harold's Chicken easy to understand before arriving.
The 16th Avenue SW address is useful for both local diners and visitors planning where to eat while spending time in Cedar Rapids. Rather than presenting itself as a formal dining destination, Harold's Chicken fits naturally into the kind of meal where convenience and familiar food matter. That can make it relevant for a quick lunch, an easy dinner, or a casual stop when the priority is satisfying food without unnecessary ceremony.
Chicken is naturally the central theme here, and that focus gives the restaurant a distinct place among more general dining choices. Diners comparing reviews will often want to know whether a restaurant has a clear specialty, and Harold's Chicken certainly communicates one through its name and concept. A focused identity can also make ordering easier for groups that already know what type of food they want. Instead of sorting through an unrelated collection of cuisines, guests can approach the menu with a fairly clear expectation of its overall direction.
That said, diners looking for exact dishes, portion sizes, preparation styles, sides, sauces, prices, or current specials should consult the latest menu before ordering. Those details have not been provided here, so it would be misleading to invent specific recommendations. The same applies to service options, opening hours, dietary accommodations, and other practical details that can change over time. Keeping those distinctions clear is especially important when reading restaurant reviews, since an appealing description should never substitute for accurate information.
What can be established confidently is the combination of the Harold's Chicken name, its chicken-centered positioning, and its Cedar Rapids location at 4330 16th Ave SW. Those basics make the restaurant relevant to diners specifically searching for chicken in the area, while its casual character should also appeal to people who prefer a simple, accessible meal rather than an elaborate restaurant experience.
When comparing Harold's Chicken with other Cedar Rapids restaurants, the most useful factors will ultimately be the ones that matter for any focused chicken spot: preparation, consistency, portion value, menu variety, and how well the food holds up for the intended dining occasion. Current customer reviews can provide additional perspective on those points, particularly because experiences may vary by visit and location. For first-time guests, checking the latest menu alongside recent local feedback is therefore a practical way to decide what to order and what to expect from this 16th Avenue SW restaurant.

I typically go in on wing Wednesday but recently I stopped in for the cornbread bowls and it was amazing. Growing up family from the south and Chicago this place never disappoints. Happy I can have a piece of home in this town.
If you havenβt had Haroldβs Chicken before, youβre missing out. This is exactly what I had growing up in Chicago and itβs amazing. The service was excellent and I got a half dark with extra mild sauce. Perfection.
